Some people may assume that dark circles under the eyes can appear when a person has a sleep disorder. Yes, that assumption is true. However, how come there are still people who have enough sleep but still have panda eyes? Here's the answer! 

Common causes of panda eyes that are known to the public are sleep disorders. According to dermatologists, lack of sleep tends to cause blood vessels under the eye skin to become enlarged so that panda eyes appear. 

The conditions that may be troubling for most of these women may also be caused by other things such as: 
  • Lack of water. 
  • Rubbing eyes too hard. 
  • Often exposed to sunlight. 
  • Descent. 
  • Allergy. 
  • Contact dermatitis. 
  • Atopic dermatitis. 
  • Age factor. As you age, your skin becomes thinner and collagen production decreases. This can sometimes cause the blood vessels under the eyes to become more visible and make them look darker. 
  • Anemia or lack of red blood cells. 
  • Kidney failure. People with kidney failure have impaired fluid retention which may cause discoloration in the area under the eye.

There are several ways you can do to get rid of dark circles under your eyes. Here's the explanation: 
  • Compress your eyes with used tea bags that have been cooled in the refrigerator. Close your eyes and put a tea bag on top of your eyelids for a few minutes. You can also compress it with cold cucumber slices or cooled spoons. This cold sensation can temporarily reduce dilation and discoloration of the blood vessels under the eyes. 
  • Get enough sleep every night. The sleep time of each individual is different, but the average adult needs seven to nine hours to rest each night. 
  • Drink plenty of water. Reduce consumption of caffeine and liquor, because both can trigger dehydration which makes the area under the eyes dark. 
  • Using cream containing retinol, as well as vitamins C and E may help lighten the black color in the eyes. 
  • Cover with makeup. Apply concealer thin under the eyes can disguise panda eyes. Choose a concealer that matches your skin color. 
  • Use ultraviolet light sunglasses during the activity under the hot sun. 
  • If you have allergies, such as itching in the eyes, avoid rubbing them. Consult a doctor so that you can be prescribed anthisitamins or eye drops. 
If the panda eye does not fade or worsen after handling the above, you can consult a doctor. Your doctor may be able to prescribe special creams or recommend additional treatments such as exfoliation or laser therapy.
